We have pulled together some of the top UK attractions which feature your favourite animals, where you can learn more about the creatures and also take part in fun activities!

SEA LIFE in locations nationwide

At SEA LIFE you can meet a whole host of incredible creatures- from tropical fish, mesmerising jellies and regal seahorses, to sharks, rays and three different breeds of penguin across the UK!

Make amazing discoveries no matter which location you visit as you learn about SEA LIFE’s mission to inspire a love of the ocean and it’s amazing inhabitants!

Redwings Horse Sanctuary in locations nationwide

Redwings Horse Sanctuary is welcoming visitors to Redwings Caldecott, near Great Yarmouth, and Redwings Aylsham, north of Norwich.

The centres are open every weekend, Friday to Monday from 10am. Paddock walks will close at 3.30pm, but gift shops and cafés remain open until 4pm.

Entry is free although donations towards the charity’s work are always gratefully received.

Dogs on leads are very welcome.

South East England

New Forest Wildlife Park in Hampshire

The New Forest Wildlife Park brings together nature and conservation. The forest setting is a peaceful backdrop to over 250 animals, many of which are endangered.

Discover giant otters, Scottish wildcats, owls, wolves, lynx, bison, mouflon and more and walk through enclosures with deer and wallaby.

See the animals a little closer as they are being fed at a keeper talk and make it extra special with an animal experience, adoption or birthday party.

Bocketts Farm in Surrey

Bocketts Farm is a family farm set in the beautiful Surrey countryside offering lots of friendly farm animals, fun farm activities and lots of indoor and outdoor play for all ages. Daily activities include pony rides, small animal encounters, tractor rides and the famous pig racing!

An all-weather attraction open all year round from 10am – 5.30pm. Visit this May Half Term for Superhero and Princess Week!

Kent Life in Kent

Looking for a fun-filled day out? Look no further than Kent Life!

We’ve got a menagerie of animals just waiting to meet you. The kids are sure to be entertained with our play areas, tractor rides, and more! After all that excitement, treat yourself to a delicious cake in Dotty’s. With events happening all year round, Kent Life is so much more than just a day visit.

Willows Birds of Prey & Wildlife Trail in Kent 

Set within 22 acres of stunning Kent countryside, Willow’s birds of prey & wildlife trail is an award winning visitor attraction, promising a fun family day out for children of all ages!

This May half term, take the family to be amazed by the breath-taking displays of flight from a variety of birds of prey or just a walk in the fresh air through a Nature Trail.

South West England

Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Cornwall

London 

Battersea Park Children’s Zoo in London

Battersea Park Children’s Zoo is the perfect place for little wildlife explorers.

There’s mammals, reptiles and birds from exotic breeds to farm family favorites and with conservation at its heart, it supports some endangered species. The family friendly zoo offers daily keeper feeding talks to share facts about the animals in their care.

For an extra special treat try an animal experience, adoption or birthday party at the zoo!

East of England 

Woburn Safari Park in Bedfordshire

Safari adventures by car in beautiful parkland; see a world of wonderful animals in one amazing day.

Drive-through the home of enchanting species like giraffes, rhinos, tigers, elephants, and lions, then continue in the Foot Safari and catch fascinating keeper talks, free play areas and exciting up-close encounters with some of spring’s cutest new arrivals.

Hertfordshire Zoo in Hertfordshire

Hertfordshire’s voted ‘No.1 Outdoor Attraction’ by Tripadvisor, home to over 800 exotic wild animals, ranging from the biggest tiger species to the smallest known monkey the pygmy marmoset.

They have brand new animatronic dinosaurs in the World of Dinosaurs attraction, over 40 roaring and moving dinosaurs- taking you on a journey back to prehistoric ages.

West Midlands 

West Midlands Safari Park in Worcestershire

Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm in Warwickshire

Rainforest Realm is a new exhibition which features animals that originate from the rainforests of Central America.

At the heart of the exhibition is a replicated ‘cenote’, complete with a water cascade, basking area and a deep and a shallow pool. The creatures you may typically find in and around a cenote are butterflies, frogs, iguana’s and crocodiles!

On display within the cenote at Stratford Butterfly Farm is a magnificent male Spectacled Caiman.
