Cantref Adventure Farm

Packed with fun things to do, Cantref Adventure Farm near Brecon is a popular choice for kids days out in Powys and ideal for a family staycation or short break. One of the highlights will be the hands-on and interactive shows. Head to the Pet Barn for Pet Handling shows offering visitors the chance to cuddle and learn about furry friends such as guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, gerbils and others.

From Easter until the end of October half term families can often join in bottle feeding either lambs or kid goats. Pig racing is available at certain times. Check the daily programme to find out what’s on so you don’t miss anything.

Visit the Big Animal Barn to meet friendly farm animals before hopping on the tractor and trailer ride for a chance to see alpacas, water buffalo, donkeys, rare breeds of sheep and more. Short pony rides are a lovely treat for pony-mad youngsters (height restrictions apply and extra charges apply).

The indoor playzone includes a large soft play area with a separate toddler zone, soft shooting cannon balls, mini tractor rides and a role play zone with play houses. Outside are exciting attractions such as the fantastic Adventure Playground, the Super Sledge Ride, a Junior Sledge Ride, Jungle Swamp Adventure Ride, a trampoline and slides. Seasonal attractions include a summer maize maze.

Cantref Riding Centre offers ’Own a Pony Days’, riding lessons and trekking in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
