Wellington Country Park details...

Only 10 minutes from the M3 and M4 and set in 350 acres of beautiful parkland between Reading and Basingstoke, Wellington Country Park is a truly exciting day out. Suitable for children aged 3-8 years and under 3s, this safe, open-air, fun-filled venue is the ideal destination. It is also perfect for schools and groups.

The children will let off steam as they play and enjoy themselves in the well-maintained environment. Allow plenty of time for the adventure play areas including a zip wire and balancing beams, play areas for toddlers, a jumping pillow, Pirate Ship and a selection of seriously fast slides! Sand pits, water play and diggers also provide hours of kids entertainment. Children aged 2 years and under can play in the indoor soft play area while parents enjoy a cup of coffee.

Then meet the donkeys, Shetland ponies, goats, sheep, alpacas, rabbits and more at the Animal Farm and Petting Barn. Plan ahead and buy some animal feed at the admission desks when you arrive. Look out for animal petting sessions in the barn – details are available at Reception.

See how many animals you can spot during a ride through the woodlands on board the miniature train or challenge the family to a game of mini golf. Available at weekends and during school holidays only, Welly Wheels are a great hit with children aged 4-10 years, who can drive themselves around on the woodland track.

The Splash Zone with water umbrella, water arc and water spouts mean taking a change of clothes might be a good idea! This attraction is for ages up to 8 years only.

There are four different nature trails for visitors to follow, each offering sights of the huge variety of wildlife in its natural habitat within the park. Look out for water fowl and other birds, butterflies, wildflowers, insects, trees, deer and more.

Dinosaur fans in the family? There are more than 30 to see in an immersive zone with the Lost World Sound Experience. Take a trip back in time and dare to talk back to a dinosaur!

With so many family things to do, you will be spoilt for choice. Special events and activities in school holidays add to the fun. Birthday party packages are available for children aged up to 8 years. There is a party room within the grounds and arrangements can be tailored to individual requirements.

Finally, why not extend your visit by making use of the lovely campsite and treating yourselves to an action-packed family holiday? The price of your stay will include unlimited access to the Country Park. Tents, trailer tents, motor homes and touring caravans can all be accommodated.

Age/height restrictions and extra charges for activities may apply. Some attractions are available subject to weather conditions.
