Beale Wildlife Park details...

Beale Wildlife Park near Reading is one of the great places to go with kids in Berkshire. Look forward to fun, adventure, animals, gardens, activities and play on the banks of the beautiful River Thames. So there will be something for everybody in this wildlife park and gardens.

Enjoy a ride on the narrow-gauge diesel railway and take young children to have fun in Little Tikes Indoor Play Area. Play areas at Beale Wildlife Park include an adventure playground, paddling pools in the warmer months, a sandpit, aerial cableway and Roplay, a network of ropes.

In addition, there is a wonderfully diverse collection of animals to meet such as wallabies, meerkats, ring-tailed lemurs, raccoons and small mammals in Pets’ Corner. Visit the owlery, walk-through aviary and bird hide to see some of the 120 species of birds that live at Beale Park. Meanwhile, the Deer Park is home to three species of deer – Fallow, Sika and Axis, a picnic area and a very popular 25m zipwire.

Also, take a trip down memory lane at Treasured Toys, an exhibition of toys from the 50s, 60s and 70s. See more than 400 model boats and planes in the museum housed in the Pavilion and wander through the lovely gardens with sculptures, trails and lakes.
