National Forest Adventure Farm

The National Forest Adventure Farm is one of the popular places to go with kids in East Staffordshire. Located near Burton upon Trent, this great adventure farm is jam-packed with kids activities and family attractions.

Visit the Animal Barn and large outdoor paddocks to see lots of animals including lambs, ponies, pigs, chicks and pets. Stroke guinea pigs and rabbits – at certain times of the year you can even bottle feed the lambs. Look out for animal demonstrations such as milking and grooming when visitors can find out more about the animals and how they are looked after. There may be sheep racing and the Pig Grand National in summer!

Head for the Funfield to try out the pedal go-karts, jumping pillows, sand pit and mini assault course. Dig in the Fossil Pit or try and ’Beat the Goalie’. If you’ll be tempted by the Water Splash-Out, remember a change of clothes. Under 7s have their own play area with pirate ship play equipment and inflatable slide. Help to excavate the quarry with a digger at the JCB Big Dig Zone and then see if you can make it across the traversing wall.

How about getting behind the wheel on mini quad bikes or challenging the family to a game on Tin Can Alley and Skittles? Leave time for a tractor and trailer ride around the animal paddocks and a fun ride on the barrel stampede. The whole family will be welcome in the gigantic indoor play barn, complete with demon drop slides for the brave. Younger children have their own area and there’s giant LEGO for builders of all ages.

Plan a day out during the summer holidays and you’ll be able to enjoy the fabulous annual ten-acre maize maze as well. What a great place for children’s birthday parties!
