Get hands-on with science and nature at Winchester Science Centre! Venture inside an enormous guitar. Watch science comes to life through explosive shows and ‘don’t try this at home’ demos. Roman Baths in Somerset

Science Busking

Visit the Roman Baths in Somerset on the afternoon of Saturday 9th March and celebrate British Science Week. This Science Busking event is a great chance to learn more about aspects of Time, in particular archaeological time. There will be original artefacts to handle, a special clock to see and an opportunity to find out more with the Roman Baths’ Chemists.

Enthralling Energy – February Half Term

Head to the not-so-secret lab and join the resident scientists for the Project Energise Science Show featuring a variety of experiments that test alternative energies. The Energy Family Tour takes visitors on a fascinating journey around the museum’s collection to see various forms of energy amongst the cars in the Museum.

After learning the theory, it will be time to get hands on designing in the Learning Hub and Make Your Own Car of the Future. Which alternative energy source will you use? The Fix It! Family Trail offers more car-building opportunities – choose parts from the past, present and future to create a new car.
