World Museum Liverpool details...

Allow lots of time to visit this award winning museum with the kids as there is so much to see and do that will intrigue all ages.

Investigate spiders, flies, scorpions, centipedes and live colonies of leaf cutter ants and bees in the Bug House. Search for the false clown fish or the venomous Scorpionfish in the huge aquarium, look for the Allosaurus dinosaur skeleton and many more equally fearsome skeletons.

Blast off on a spectacular journey through space with special shows in the Planetarium. Explore the universe in the full dome planetarium. Whether you’re a budding astronomer or simply want to marvel at the incredible universe, the programme of planetarium shows has something for the whole family.

Children will love The Little Star That Could and Max Goes to the Moon, while adults may prefer 5000 Eyes or Earth to the Universe. For real enthusiasts try the Show of the Week every afternoon, adding more variety to the regular programme.

There are lots of handling opportunities, activities, crafts and puzzles and entrance to the museum is free. Check the website for opening times, current exhibitions and events.
