As we have just entered the first few days of spring it’s time to embrace all that these lighter longer days bring with them. The opportunity to spend more time with your children in the great outdoors as the weather gets slightly warmer (you will probably still want your rain jackets), the evenings staying lighter for longer and most great UK family attractions are opening for the summer season.

We have pulled together some of the best UK family attractions offering things to do with your family across the country. So whether your kids are ready to go on the hunt for Easter Eggs, visit farms and zoos welcoming new lambs, chicks and other baby animals, or you just want to take on some spring trails there is plenty to satisfy all ages.

Easter Egg hunts can be the biggest excitement for kids around this time of year, so luckily for you lots of these family friendly attractions will be hosting some egg-cellent hunts with chocolatey treats for the kids.

Join the Eggstreme Easter Weekend at Newquay Zoo, the Mega Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday at Wellington Country Park or the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Birdworld. There are also chances to hunt for those yummy chocolate eggs at Living Coasts with the Egg-Cellent Easter weekend where kids will receive a chocolate bunny at the end of their trail. Crealy Park will be giving away over 10,000 free chocolate eggs so there will be plenty to try and find and at Bowood House the Easter Bunny Trail will be set in the beautiful grounds and kids will have to follow the Easter Bunny’s route to find all the eggs he has dropped along the way.

If you want to meet lots of new lambs and other baby animals then make sure you head along to Roves Farm as the ewes are expecting over 400 lambs between them. You will also be able to bottle feed lambs at Wallington, pet and feed lambs at Hall Hill Farm (and if you can’t make it there check out their lamb-cam so you don’t miss any of the action) and watch the ewes with their new baby lambs at Rookery Open Farm.
