Enjoy a free day out with the kids exploring Windsor Great Park in Berkshire. These 2,020 hectares of parkland include formal avenues, historical monuments, ancient forests, wildlife, a deer park and garden. With plenty of open space for walking, cycling, games and picnics, there are lots of activities for families.
In the south-east corner, just inside Surrey, are Virginia Water lake, The Valley Gardens and also the 35-acre Savill Garden (check opening times and admission charges for The Savill Garden before travelling).
