Strathy Bay

Strathy Bay is excellent for family trips because of its spectacular views over the Pentland Firth and its abundance of caves and cliffs, making it perfect for a day out with a sense of adventure. It’s worth trying to go during May and June to see the cowslips, northern marsh orchids and spring squills but the beach is beautiful all year round. Take the kids for a walk up to the top of the ФWhite Hill’ for a panoramic view of the bay and its surrounding area. On top of an award-winning beach complete with striking views, Strathy Bay is a Special Conservation Area and a Site of Special Scientific Interest, bursting with bird and marine life. It is also becoming a popular surfing destination.
