For a great family day out in London this November bring the kids along to The South Ken Kids Festival as it celebrates its 20th birthday this year! From 13th to 19th November, meet glorious authors and illustrators, including Quentin Blake (the festival’s patron), Axel Scheffler, Stephanie Blake, François Place and many more brought to you by the Institut Français in London. Children (and adults!) can expect a programme packed with live drawing, storytelling, workshops, talks, films, music, poetry and even digital and BookTubing sessions.
This event is specially designed for kids, and whilst some events adults can attend, most of the festival workshops available are for children only. Your kids will be taken to and from the festival meeting point by two dedicated volunteers. Some workshops might explicitly invite parents to take an active park and for all live events and meet the authors events, it is presumed that parents will accompany their children.
