We were greeted by concierge upon arrival who immediately took our bags for us and showed us through to reception to check in. The receptionist was extremely helpful and showed us to our rooms and explained on the way where the restaurant, swimming pool, games room etc was. In our room was a welcome message on the mirror for the boys and a large personalised cookie for them each which they loved! We headed off outside to have a go at ice skating and were luckily the only ones on the ice for an hour! Brilliant fun! A fire pit was lit as the sun went down and the sunset over the surrounding fields was stunning. Later on that evening we visited the Wild Carrot restaurant for dinner, the service was second to none from the moment we stepped foot through the door and the food was incredible. The low lighting and candles gave it a beautiful ambience, really relaxing, even with kids! After dinner we were picked up by a buggy and taken to the games room in the cottage on the grounds where we all enjoyed playing table tennis, air hockey, pool and Xbox/PS4 games. A quick phone call to concierge later and back they came to pick us up. After a great night sleep it was back to the Wild Carrot restaurant for breakfast (oh what a choice!!) and we then visited the new Sharkey's Reef family swimming pool which was brilliant. Highly recommend a family break at this fabulous hotel, we had a great time :)
