New for this year is Tiger Rock, an exhilarating log flume in Land of the Tiger. Get a unique view of the majestic Amur Tigers in an innovative enclosure with Europe’s first overhead trails. Before descending a waterfall drop, right through the centre of a tiger’s head carved into the imposing rock!
Go on the fabulous Gruffalo River Ride Adventure, a world first, where the story of The Gruffalo magically unfolds in front of your eyes with exciting twists and turns along the way as you splash down the lazy river. This ride is accompanied by many other exciting Gruffalo offerings across the whole resort, including six brand new fully themed Gruffalo hotel rooms in the Chessington Safari Hotel, The Gruffalo Gift Shop, The Gruffalo Bites food outlet, character meet and greets, showings of the animated film at The Gruffalo Arena and much more!
In Trail of the Kings, you can seek out new treasures as you walk amongst Chessington’s jungle giants, such as the Western Lowland Gorillas, the critically endangered Sumatran Tigers and the Asiatic Lions, as well as their three female cubs which were born at Chessington last September.
Chessington World of Adventures Resort is the 30th Go Ape Adventure to launch in the UK and the first ever to launch at a UK theme park. With two fantastic courses available in one location, Tree Top Adventure and Tree Top Junior, anyone over 1m can enjoy taking part, meaning the whole family can Go Ape together! You don’t need a ticket for Chessington World of Adventures Resort to experience Go Ape, as it is located in the Explorer Car Park.
Most rides and attractions at Chessington are suitable for the under 12s and with so many things to do, there is something for everyone, from junior dare devils to first time adventurers. Tickets can be booked online. Various sections of the park are open during winter.
