West Horsley Place near Leatherhead in Surrey is a wonderful place for a great family day out.
Enjoy this Grade I listed medieval Manor House and its 380-acre Estate, which is of great beauty and historic significance, dating back to 1425.
Discover the remarkable history of West Horsley Place and the people who lived and worked there.
See the beautiful Stone Kitchen, which dates from the Tudor period, as well as the Library which is set in the oldest wing of the house, dating back to 1425.
Head off on the delightful Garden Trail and look out for wildlife, such as Red Kite, Roe Deer and much more!
It welcomes visitors for special events throughout the year, as a place for arts, crafts and family fun. There are house tours, film tours, open air theatre, storytelling and exhibitions in the iconic house itself, or within its beautiful grounds and gardens.
With a variety of fantastic family events planned for 2023, visitors can look forward to exciting Easter Family Fun days (11th to 16th April), Quantum Theatre productions of ’The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny’ (26th July) and ’Wind in the Willows’ (22nd August).
There is also an open-air adaptation of David Walliams ‘Bad Dad’ by Heartbreak Production’s (2nd and 26th August), as well as a number of open days and nature walks.
Price for a family of four:
Open Days: £10 per adult, children under 16 are free
Easter: £10 per adult, £7 per child (4 to 12 year olds)
Theatre productions: £50 (2 adults and 2 children)
