Take the kids to explore Shaw House in Newbury or enjoy one of the special events. This large unfurnished Elizabethan house in Berkshire is now used as a multi-purpose event venue. It is open on certain dates for the public to explore.
Inside the house itself are original features and also exhibitions explaining the history of the property. There are activity stations, a family activity room and trails. Head outside to picnic on the lawn and enjoy the garden games in summer.
The events programme includes historical re-enactments and a variety of kids activities.
