Rye Heritage Centre is a good place to learn about Rye, an historic Sussex town which is steeped in myths, ghosts and smugglers! The fascinating Story of Rye, based on the Rye Town Model, is a sound and light show lasting for approximately 20 minutes. There is a vintage penny arcade with working machines from the early 20th century, a Smuggler’s Attic and exhibitions and interpretation panels detailing the rich and varied heritage of this medieval town.
