Summer Family Fun at Wellington Country Park

Add Wellington Country Park near Reading to your list of places to go with the kids during the long summer holidays! A day full of fun, fresh air and freedom awaits with a host of exciting activities for ages up to eight years. As well as all the normal activities, there is a series of themed weekends during the holidays.

Age restrictions apply to some activities and some are weather dependent.

Spectacular Sports Weekend – 23rd-24th July

Join Reading FC to try out their Penalty Shoot Out Speed Cage or take to Welly Park’s own centre court with Riseley Tennis Club. Meanwhile, Tic Tac Skate School will be in the centre of the park with mini skate ramps for skateboarders young and old. Adults can join in all the sports! There will also be bouncy castles, a ball pond and an obstacle course.

Summer Crafts & Bouncy Castles – 30th-31st July and 20th-21st August

Call in at the Party and Education Room and get creative making a 3D card animal to take home. Then check out the bouncy castles, ball pond and obstacle course.

Welly’s Big Dino Weekend – 5th-7th August

Kids fascinated by dinosaurs? Wellington Country Park is the place to go over the first weekend in August! Take a trip back in time to the Jurassic Age and meet a variety of amazing beasts, along with some baby dinosaurs. Look out for some great photo opportunities!

Summer Fun & Bouncy Castles – 13th-14th August

Two days of outdoor entertainment on the Main Green. Here is your chance to have a go at circus skills such as plate spinning, juggling and hula hooping! Also, half-hour family shows will take place at intervals throughout the day. Bouncy castles, a ball pond and an obstacle course will be available.

Bouncy Castles in the Park – 27th-29th August

Bounce away the August Bank Holiday weekend as bouncy castles take over the Main Green. Other attractions include a ball pond, small and large obstacle courses and an inflatable penalty shootout.
