August Events at Cutty Sark

Throughout August a packed programme of events and activities for both adult and children is planned at Cutty Sark in Greenwich. So find out what’s on and start planning an unforgettable family day out. Highlights include:

• Summer Holidays at Cutty Sark – daily. Find out more about the maritime world with interactive storytelling, creative workshops and imaginative performances.
• Character Encounters – daily. Amazing stories from the ship’s past are brought to life by characters including the ship’s master, the ship’s builder, the cook and others. Suitable for ages 3 years and over.
• Cutty Sark Rig Climb Experience – Saturdays and Sundays until 30th August. Climb the rigging, see what it would have been like to sail on the historic ship and enjoy the views. Suitable for over 8s.
• Highlights Tour – daily at 12noon and 2pm. Find out why Cutty Sark was the fastest ship in the world and her history. Suitable for ages 7 years and over.
• Cutty Sark Audio Guide Tour – make the most of your visit by downloading the audio guide to your phone and hear exciting tales from Cutty Sark’s past and the lives of her captains and crews.
• Cutty Sark Relaxed Opening – 19th August, 10-11am. A chance to discover the famous tea clipper in a quieter, more relaxed environment.
• Sea Shanty Singers – 1st and 2nd August. Performances at intervals during the day.
