The famous Wistow Maze is a giant maize maze created out of 8 acres of living maize crop.
Follow the fun Quiz Trail and collect clues hidden amongst 3 miles of pathways, with high level bridges and viewing towers giving stunning panoramic views of the giant maze and beautiful surrounding countryside.
For 2017 the maze is designed in the shape of “Sherlock Holmes” and the Quiz Trail has a ‘Whodunnit’ theme.
The maze includes an Activity Funyard packed with mini mazes and games for all the family, including hoopla, beanbag throwing, a space hopper track, football shooting game and much more, which can be played on before or after entering the maze.
Light refreshments are available onsite, and the café/bistro across the road can cater for groups and parties of all sizes.
Wistow Rural Centre is situated opposite the maze, with a cafe/bistro, garden centre, art gallery, Mediterranean deli, Model Village and numerous shops selling jewellery, woman’s clothing, furniture, dog accessories, home fragrances and gifts galore, making it a fun day out for all ages.
School and office outings are both popular, and there is an Education Pack available.
Each year the maze is redesigned using GPS satellite technology, and then fed to the cows at the end of the season! (See all 13 maze designs on the www.wistow.com website).
The Maze opens on Wednesday 19th July – Sunday 3rd September (daily), then weekends only until Sunday 17th September 2017. 10am-6pm (last admission 4.30pm)
