Take the kids for a day out to this popular park in the centre of Leicester. Divided by the River Soar, one side has the remains of the 12th century Leicester Abbey and the other the Victorian part with its shrubberies, boating lake, miniature railway, and flower displays. The children will love pets corner that has a selection of birds and animals, the lavender maze and the children’s play area. Boats can be hired for a trip around the lake in summer months.
