The Story Museum Oxford details...

The Story Museum is located in the centre of Oxford. Families can look forward to a wonderful day out at this magical museum, where great stories are collected and shared. The museum is dedicated to storytelling in all its forms – from literature and oral traditions to film, TV and games. So take along the whole family to engage with stories and discover exciting things to do and see.

Attractions include The Enchanted Library offering the chance to step inside iconic scenes from the pages of children’s books. Visitors can emerge through the wardrobe in The Chronicles of Narnia and cut through the parallel realms of His Dark Materials.

Small Worlds provides an immersive experience for younger children and those with mobility and sensory needs. Expect to find characters from well-loved books such as Winnie the Witch and Traction Man. Meanwhile, The Storycraft is an audiovisual journey through the literary history of Oxford and The Whispering Wood is a mysterious forest to explore, where every tree has a story to share.

Families can enjoy all this and more, including a café and a dedicated outreach programme.
