The Piece Hall

Since 1779, The Piece Hall has stood proudly at the heart of Halifax, West Yorkshire. Originally built to support the trading of ‘pieces’ of cloth, it has been a meeting point of Halifax’s commercial, civic and cultural life for almost 250 years.

Following a multi million pound regeneration project, the grade one listed landmark has embarked on an ambitious and exciting new chapter since 2017. The heritage site will support new cultural and commercial projects in the locality and be a magnet for visitors to the area.

Meet family and friends at cafés, bars and restaurants in the stunning eighteenth century colonnades and central courtyard of The Piece Hall. Browse a treasure trove of high-quality individual and unique shops celebrating the independent and the artisan. Set across the first floor and second floor Colonnade levels, two floors of retail outlets offer a whole host of goods.
