An interesting place to go with the kids is Abbey House Museum in Leeds West Yorkshire where you can experience the sights and sounds of life in Victorian Leeds in the year 1880.

Wander through the carefully recreated streets and houses, experience shopping in the the 19th century and dress up in Victorian clothes. Realistic Victorian streets include Stephen Harding Gate, visit a traditional Victorian drinking house called Hark to Rover Inn, and see objects dating back over 100 years from the collection. Compare the standards of living with today, and discover how people lived, worked and were educated in Victorian England.

On event days see costumed characters and find out how the Victorians lived. A walk in the lovely Abbey gardens or Kirkstall Abbey across the road will complete and perfect family day out.
