For a huge day out with the kids, head to the Helix Park at Falkirk, and the most recognisable landmark in the area -The Kelpies. At 30m high, and visible from miles around, The Kelpies, the work of renowned artist, Andy Scott, is the world’s largest equine sculpture.
In addition to The Kelpies, Helix park also has lots more to do. The visitor centre contains an exhibition space and gift shop, containing many unique souvenirs and gift ideas. There is also a café, offering a range of homemade meals and baking, using the best locally sourced produce.
The Adventure Zone and Splash Play areas in the Helix will provide hours of fun for the kids. The Adventure Zone has loads of play equipment, with climbing frames, swings, chutes, rope ladders and scramble nets. Here too you will find the Plaza Café, with indoor and outdoor areas. The ideal stop for a quick drink and snack.
