When you are looking for places to go make time to visit The Alnwick Garden in Northumberland with the children and be captivated in one of the world’s most attractive contemporary gardens, combining spaces, themes, quirkiness and play.
Children and families will love the new fantasy village Lilidorei that is home to nine clans who worship Christmas. They are ruled by Lord Elfwin, King of Lilidorei who lives in Elfwin Drin, the biggest play structure in the world!
The garden centrepiece is the Grand Cascade water feature and it has an enormous tree house, Ornamental Garden, Bamboo Labyrinth and the Poison Garden.
There are lots more interesting features for kids to enjoy including a water play area where they can run into the amazing water sculptures.
There is 12 acres of garden to run freely in, a programme of family events and areas for picnics. Allow a full long day for your visit. Refreshment options include the Tree House restaurant, Pavilion Cafe or The Potting Shed coffee shop.
Buy garden tickets online, children under 16 years have free entry when accompanied by an adult. Winter season tickets are lower.
