RSPB Fairburn Ings

RSPB Fairburn Ings provides the ideal place for adults and children to find out more about wildlife in the outdoors which was once at the heart of the coal mining industry.

The three main trails take you through a variety of habitats allowing stunning views of birds and two are push chair friendly. There is a family picnic area.

In winter RSPB Fairburn Ings hosts an array of swans, ducks and geese on the main lake, as well as rare species, so there is something to see whatever the season.

There is a small car park charge, no entrance charge but donations are welcome. See website for details.
