One of the best places to go in West Yorkshire is the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.
The free to enter museum is an important venue that holds the National Collection of Arms and Armour.
The Royal Armouries Museum collection is held in five themed galleries and takes you on a journey through some of the most important events in history. Explore thousands of incredible objects, from ancient times to the present day. From Japanese samurai to iconic movie props, from Henry VIII’s armour to an Indian war elephant.
The architectural centrepiece of the museum is the Hall Of Steel. Witness live shows of military and sporting skill at arms as well as jousting demonstrations, archery, falconry, and horse shows.
The museum opens daily and there are refreshments in the cafe.
See website for details and regular event information.

Loved taking the kids to Royal Armouries. So much to see including life-size armour plated elephant and brilliant jousting show.
