Nottingham Castle details...

Following a £30 million revamp, Nottingham Castle gates will re-open in 2021. Discover thrilling tales of Robin Hood and rebellion, explore historic caves, and admire the curated art collections and exhibitions.

The magnificent 17th century ducal palace was built on the site of the original Medieval Castle from 1067. The Castle has had a turbulent past, linked to kings and conquerors until it was opened to the public as a museum and art gallery in 1878.

Look out for the changing exhibitions and events or take a cave tour into the labyrinth of manmade caves and tunnels under the castle (extra charge).

Children under 5 years have free entry. Open daily, check times before visiting.
