This specialist geological museum at the University of Birmingham is a fascinating free place to go in the West Midlands with plenty to see and learn. Young geologists will love the amazing collections of minerals, fossils and rocks.
Its 2016 re-developement transformed it with state-of-the-art galleries and a range of innovative and interactive exhibits from rocks, volcanoes and earthquakes to fossils and dinosaurs. Meet Roary the Allosaurus and see dinosaur footprints and remains such as skulls and teeth.
For families there are trails, activities and special events. The Museum will capture the imagination of all ages and, wonderfully, it is free!
