One of the favourite places to go with the kids is Hardcastle Crags near Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire. Enjoy a perfect family day out exploring the valley’s natural steep features.
Take a picnic and walk the wooded trail; play in the babbling brooks and tumbling waterfalls. At the heart of the valley is the nineteenth century cotton mill, Gibson Mill that is now a family-orientated visitor centre and cafe where you can investigate life in a cotton mill two hundred years ago.
Look out for exhibitions and great family friendly events.
Entrance is free of charge but there are pay and display cash car-parks at Midgehole Road and Clough Hole and you will need to walk to Gibson Mill from there.
