Families will find plenty of things to do at Dyrham Park, a glorious late 17th-century mansion in South Gloucestershire, about 12 miles east of Bristol and 8 miles north of Bath. Tour the Victorian domestic quarters and admire fine furniture and paintings.
Then follow the family trail through the garden and parkland, spot the herd of fallow deer and check out the play areas. There are family events and activities, especially in the school holidays.
