One of the great free days out in the Midlands. Families will find lots of things to do and enjoy within 500 acres of historic woodlands and gardens: picnics, walks, bird watching, pond dipping, orienteering, play area by the visitor centre for under 12s, the more challenging climbing forest for over 8s, discovery centre and Go Ape course.
Don’t forget to buy feed at the shop in the Visitor Centre for the ducks and swans. There are feeding areas at both the main lake and Top Pool.
Charges apply for some activities and car parking. Take along a bucket or empty ice cream tub and a fishing net if you would like to try pond dipping. Orienteering maps are on sale at the Information Centre.
