Colchester Castle and Museum details...
A visit to Colchester Castle and Museum is a great day out, with interactive displays including new finds and star exhibits, such as the Colchester Gladiator Vase and the Fenwick Hoard of Roman treasure.
In the Castle Museum you can have a go at building a Norman archway, dressing as an Iron Age Briton, and steering a Roman chariot!
Pick up an interactive tablet, packed with mini games, photos and augmented reality, showing how some of the Castle spaces might have originally appeared.
Tablets can be hired from the Welcome Desk for just £1.
There are regular family events and children can enjoy dressing up.
