A fun thing to do with the kids is to visit Chiltern Open Air Museum in Buckinghamshire. The museum rescues historic buildings under demolition threat, rebuilds and preserves them in a Chilterns landscape. The collection includes Victorian buildings, a 1940s Prefab, a Nissen Hut, a reconstructed Iron Age roundhouse and more.
Children can explore the site, dress up in vintage clothes, play with historic games and toys and try out the adventure playground.
