If your children are keen on trains and steam engines you must take them for a day out at this heritage centre near Chesterfield. Look out for the galas featuring working steam and diesel locomotives and visiting engines. On special event days train rides are available, pulled by either a steam or diesel locomotive from ФRoundhouse Halt’, a purpose-built platform. Entry is by donation on normal opening days but there is an entrance cost on event days.
