Viking Re-enactment at Stafford Castle details...

Open 10 Aug - 11 Aug

Don’t miss this two-day Viking living history event in Staffordshire on the weekend of 10th-11th August. Stafford Castle has been invaded by a fearsome Viking hoard, who have set up their village in the grounds. So take the children to see re-enactors demonstrate what life was like in the Viking age. See weaving, leather working, cooking and other tasks. There might even be some skirmishes as the Vikings defend their newly acquired lands.

In addition there will be a children’s games area, face painting, brass rubbing and the chance for young would-be warriors to try on armour, swords and shields. If the weather is fine, take along a picnic. A great day out that is both educational and fun! Parking costs £5 per car for the day but event admission is free.

Please see the website of Historic Stafford to confirm details before visiting.
