Summer Holidays at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre

Planning activities in Shropshire to keep the kids busy during the long summer holidays? Every weekday of the school holidays there will be themed activities. The cost is £4.50 per child and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Activities take place from 1pm to 2.30pm and booking is essential.

Dates and Themes

Wild Homes – 22nd -26th July and 12th-16th August. Hunt for the homes of different animals in the meadows and then create a den or tent wild home yourself.

Stone Age Hunters – 29th July-2nd August and 19th-23rd August. See the mammoth replica and learn more about the Ice Age. Use a fire bow and spear thrower, paint with soil pigments and learn how to hunt and scavenge.

Winnie the Pooh Adventures – 5th-9th August and 26th-30th August. Use items in the meadows to decorate a pooh stick, try and trap a heffalump, make a house for Eeyore and find out how to identify honey bees in the meadow.
