Summer Holiday Activities at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre

During the summer holiday Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre is inviting families to join in a variety of activities on selected dates:

• Three Little Pigs – 22nd-24th July; 10th-14th August. Listen to the tale of the Three Little Pigs told from the wolf’s perspective! Afterwards, make your own house of sticks and find out whether it is strong enough to withstand the huff and puff test. Finally, enjoy a marshmallow toasted over a campfire. Ages 3-11 years.
• Marvellous Minibeast Hunt – 27th-31st July; 17th-21st August. Use a magnifying glass, net and ID sheet to see what minibeasts you can find under rocks and logs, in the long grass and amongst leaves on the ground. Then draw what you find. Ages 3-11 years.
• Orienteering Adventure – 4th-6th August; 24th-28th August. Have a go at orienteering in the Onny Meadows. Learn how to read a map and use a compass as you play games and tackle challenges. Can you find the hidden clues to solve a puzzle? Ages 5-11 years.

Booking is essential. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
