Summer Fun - Robin Hood and his Merry Friends at the Severn Valley Railway

Treat the family to a day out at the Severn Valley Railway this summer and experience the golden age of travel with both steam and diesel hauled trains. Adding to the fun, on selected Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays families can watch live theatre show Robin Hood and his Merry Friends at The Engine House, Highley.

The 30-minute immersive theatre production by Wise Owl Theatre features animal puppets and includes plenty of audience participation. Find out whether Robin Hood and his woodland companions can outwit the Sheriff of Nottingham with the help of the audience and save Sherwood for future generations. The show is free for visitors travelling by heritage train – just book places when booking travel tickets online.

Allow a full day for your visit as you can break your journey at intermediate stations to explore. The Engine House Visitor Centre has plenty to do with locomotives to see, exhibits, an outdoor play area, the Travelling Post Office for children, a café and gift shop.
