Plan a treat for the family by booking yourselves onto a paddle around the lake at Dinton Pastures Country Park in Berkshire. Age restrictions vary. Events cost £30 for adults and £25 for children. Book early to avoid disappointment. An adult must accompany all under 16s.
Make the most of the extra daylight and find out more about the solstice. Choose between stand-up paddleboards and sit-on-top kayaks. Times: 8-10pm.
Treat a four-legged friend to a tour of the lake, followed by treats for dogs and homemade cake for owners. Times vary.

Learn about the annual Perseids meteor shower and watch the shooting stars from Black Swan Lake on this guided paddle. Glow sticks will add to the atmosphere. Times: 9-11pm.

Perfect for families with younger children as the minimum age is four years. Set off on a daytime tour in search of wildfowl that remain on the lakes over winter, such as the grey herons, swans and Canada geese. Admire the changing colours. Times: 10.30am-12.30pm and 1.30-3.30pm.
Dust off your Santa costumes and join a guided paddle around the lake, either on a sit-on-top kayak or a stand-up paddleboard. Expect to see resident wildfowl such as grebes, geese and herons. Add to their songs with your own Christmas carols. At the end of the paddle, tuck into a mince pie and glass of mulled apple juice. Times: 10.30am-12.30pm.
