Wild Autumn at Marwell Zoo

From Saturday 24th October to Sunday 1st November 2026, enjoy a wild October half term at Marwell Zoo. Autumn adventures, seasonal activities and amazing wildlife come together for a fun-filled family day out.

Explore the twists and turns of the Autumn Maze, keep your eyes peeled for the Golden Acorn hidden along the way. Once you’ve found it, answer the question for your chance to win a magical prize!

Head to the pumpkin patch for seasonal games and activities. Get creative with pumpkin carving and make your very own autumn masterpiece to take home. Afterwards, settle down for magical storytelling with Esme the Witch inside the Grade I listed Marwell Hall, with stories taking place throughout the day.

Spot scarecrows created by the Marwell teams and snap some autumnal memories at seasonal photo opportunities around the zoo. Also get up close to the Marwell Machines. Little ones can even hop aboard the tractor, Little Blue, on the Marwell Hall drive!

For those looking for a little extra sparkle, face painting and glitter tattoos will be available in the Giraffe House. You can also discover something a little different with an exciting virtual reality experience. Dive into a colourful world of insects and discover the tiny creatures that play a huge role in our ecosystems.

Plus, meet some of Marwell’s incredible animals and enjoy animal talks and feeds throughout the day. These will give you the chance to learn more about the animals in Marwell’s care and hear from knowledgeable keepers.

With indoor and outdoor activities to enjoy, whatever the weather, Wild Autumn is the perfect way to make the most of the school holidays.
