October Half Term at Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm

Plan a visit to Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm for October half term and learn more about the amazing migration story of the monarch butterfly. Discover why this butterfly is associated with Mexican Day of the Dead celebrations.

There will be plenty of beautiful Monarch butterflies flying in the Flight Area. Also, look out for a stunning emerald green Tree Python, the latest arrival in the Rainforest Realm. Adults can grow up to two metres long and have a striking, triangular body shape.

Daily demonstrations of the Monarch Butterfly’s lifecycle and migration and Meet the Minibeasts sessions will take place at 11.30am in the Discovery Zone. Meanwhile, in the outdoor gardens there is the Monarch Migration Trail with the chance to win return tickets to the Butterfly Farm.

Families will also be invited to get creative making their own colourful Papel Picado decoration, a traditional Mexican paper craft. Either take your decoration home or add it to the colourful displays in the Discovery Zone.
