Spot felt mice in high-vis jackets around the State Rooms of Powis Castle in mid Wales and then head outside to follow the Tiger Trail this May half term.
Powis Castle and Garden Welshpool, Powys, SY21 8RF
Why not surprise the family with a day out at Powis Castle in mid Wales this May half term? Explore the State Rooms in the castle itself and join in marking the beginning of a major project to upgrade the wiring in the 13th-century castle.
Young explorers and their families are invited to become castle electricians and get hands on with activities along the way. Try and spot the cute little felt mice in high vis jackets – they will be carrying tools and fixing the wiring.
Then head outside and follow the Tiger Trail around the garden. Track the paw prints along the terraces and through the formal garden, keeping an eye open for any glimpses of orange and black! You might spy a paw emerging from a hedge, or perhaps ears behind bushes. See how many tigers you can find.
Trails are free once on site – normal admission charges apply.
Please see the National Trust’s website to find out more.
