Jet and Space Week - October Half Term at the RAF Museum Midlands

The RAF Museum Midlands in Shropshire is running special activities for families on selected dates during October half term as part of Jet and Space Week. Find out what’s on and take the kids to join in the fun.

Admission to the museum is free, charges may apply to some activities.

• LEGO Balloon Jets – 26th, 28th and 30th October. Complete a LEGO design and then attach a balloon to see how fast it goes at free drop-in sessions running 10.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3.30pm.
• Borrow the Moon – 26th-29th October. A chance to handle exciting meteorite rocks and even get up close to a piece of real moon rock! Free sessions run 11-11.45am and 2.30-3.15pm. Availability is limited so booking advisable.
• The Cosmic Return of the Planetarium! – 28th-30th October. Visit the stars without leaving the museum. Shows run 10.30am-3pm. Tickets cost £6.50 per person – booking recommended to avoid disappointment. Suitable for ages 6 years and over.
• Spooky Storytelling – 31st October and 1st November. Find out how the eerie abandoned airfield turned into an exciting museum at sessions running 10.45am-3.15pm. Tickets cost £5 per child, accompanying adults go free. Recommended for ages 5 years and over. Book tickets in advance.
