For a fun day out over the early May Bank Holiday weekend, step back to the mid 18th century at Tamworth Castle in Staffordshire. Learn about life during the Lace Wars and find out more about the Jacobite Rebellion led by Bonnie Prince Charlie, the beginnings of the Industrial Revolution in Britain and more.

See the weaponry and equipment of both British Army personnel and the Jacobite Army. Head to the Drawing Room to discover what life was like for an officer’s family. The gate will be manned by British Army sentries who will be happy to chat to visitors. Each day there will be public arena displays illustrating drill, tactics and the general history of the era. Both educational and fun, living history events are a great choice for families of all ages.
