Dinosaur Activities at Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum

Take your dinosaur fans to Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum for a day out over the summer. Head to Wild Life and Marine Worlds located on Level 2 and discover a dinosaur and other skeletons from the past. See the skull of a Triceratops, an Ichthyosuar skeleton and more.

In addition, on selected dates young explorers and their families can join in dinosaur-themed activities, from junk modelling to exotic animals!

• Dinosaur Junk Modelling with Tat Vision – Wednesdays 22nd July and 19th August. Use recycled materials to design and build.
• DinoSTORY Time – Thursdays, 23rd and 30th July; 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th August. Journey through the prehistoric world of the dinosaurs at these interactive storytelling sessions. Recommended for ages eight years and under. All children must be accompanied.
• Cinema Under The Stars. Cinema-style screenings of prehistoric-themed films in the planetarium including: Early Man – Saturday 25th July, The Land Before Time – Saturday 15th August, The Good Dinosaur – Saturday 29th August and The Land That Time Forgot – Saturday 29th August.
• Jurassic Encounters: Zoolab at Thinktank – Tuesday 28th July and Thursday 27th August. Dino-themed animal handling. Find out what snails, snakes and spiders have to do with dinosaurs from the past.
• Professors Egg ’n Egg at Thinktank – Wednesday 12th August. Meet the intrepid dinosaur egg-sperts as they try to solve the mystery of a strange egg!
