International LEGO® Day

International LEGO® Day is celebrated on January 28th each year to commemorate the day the original LEGO brick was patented in Denmark in 1958. The day is a celebration of creativity, innovation, and the joy of building with LEGO bricks.

International LEGO Day is a time for LEGO enthusiasts, of all ages, to come together and celebrate the enduring legacy of these much loved building blocks. Communities organize events such as LEGO building competitions, workshops, and exhibitions to showcase the incredible creations made possible by LEGO bricks.

Here are some ways to celebrate International LEGO Day:

Visit LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in Manchester! Surround yourself with millions of LEGO Bricks, take flight on Merlin’s Apprentice, blast skeletons on Kingdom Quest ride adventure, see your favourite characters on LEGO 4D Cinema, and build epic LEGO creations alongside master builders!

More
  • Build a tower: A classic LEGO activity is to build the tallest tower you can out of LEGO bricks. You can also try building a tower with loosely connected bricks, and see who can add a piece without it collapsing.
  • Create a LEGO marble maze: You can use a PDF pack to create a LEGO marble maze.
  • Use the LEGO Builder app: You can use the LEGO Builder app to rotate and zoom in on models, build with friends and family, and see what other participants are creating.
  • Design your own Minifigure: With so many ‘minifig’ parts to choose from you can let your imagination run wild!
  • Quick Build Challenge: A race to see who can build the fastest!

You could also watch one of the fantastic LEGO® films, fun for all the family!

Why not share your fantastic creations on social media #LEGO and re-live your favorite LEGO memories.
