WWT London Wetland Centre details...

For a fantastic day out with the kids, head to WWT London Wetland Centre in Barnes, London. Here you can find a wide range of animals from geese, ducks and water voles, bats, dragonflies and otters. There are six hides found around the grounds where kids can watch and get up close to wildlife. The park is the perfect place for kids to relax with a number of adventure play areas including, inside and outside areas, and there’s also a high-tech Pond Zone. During weekends and school holidays there are a wide range of different children’s activities for kids to take part in. In Explore, the outdoor adventure playground, kids can have a wonderful time swooping down zip wires, scramble up the climbing wall, and explore the giant water vole tunnels! In the indoor Discovery Centre kids can go on a journey through the different wetlands of the world, from coral reefs to peat bogs. Kids can also play a series of interactive games with water. In the high-tech Pond Zone kids can operate the underwater camera to see what’s living in the pool, or they can grab a net and join a staff-led pond dipping session where they can try and catch a frog or a water scorpion. Daily wildlife walks with expert guide are also available for families to go on around the 105 acre wildlife haven.
