Join a guided tour leading you deep into the Mendip Hills, through the largest cave system in the United Kingdom. Explore a series of limestone caverns with the River Axe flowing through them. Listen to the legends that surround the site and learn about its history. Highlights include the Witch’s Kitchen and famous Witch of Wookey, who lived alone in the caves and was blamed for local misfortunes. Hear how a monk turned her to stone and see her frozen figure. Venture into Cathedral Cave with green water, stalactite formations and walls red with iron oxide.

Some mirrors are trick mirrors, giving momentary sightings of a wizard, trapped by the Wookey Witch.
