Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum and Tour allows visitors to explore tennis’ evolution into a multi-million dollar professional sport played worldwide: with exciting inter-actives, rare artefacts and audio guides in ten languages, the Museum showcases the artistry and athleticism that is modern tennis. Kids and adults alike can celebrate Wimbledon year-round at this multi award-winning Museum. See generous donations from the great players of today, the outfits of the most successful champions of the Wimbledon Singles tournament, the resident ‘ghost’ of John McEnroe, and the glittering Championship trophies. A new Virtual Reality experience opened in June 2016 giving visitors a fascinating look at the story of Wimbledon, and a taste of being at the Finals at Wimbledon!
Tours of the grounds are led by the masterfully informative and highly entertaining Blue Badge Guides, allowing visitors to experience the majesty of the Wimbledon environment. Offered in multiple languages for groups (see website), and English for day visitors (Spanish also during the Summer) the renowned Tour includes stops in the Broadcast Centre, the Millennium Building, the Press Interview Room, and most importantly, Wimbledon’s Centre Court – the most illustrious stadium in the world of tennis. The soul of Wimbledon, Centre Court, is also open to Museum and to visitors participating in the guided Tours. With so much to see and learn this is sure yo be a fun day out for the whole family.

10am to 5pm (last admission to the Museum 4.30pm).
The Museum & Tour is closed 24th/25th/26th December & 1st January. No tours run from 17th June – 19th July 2019 inclusive, and the Museum is closed 30th June and 15th/16th/17th July 2019. During The Championships, 1st – 14th July 2019, the Museum is open only to tournament ticket holders.
The Tour is closed 24th/25th/26th December & 1st January. Closed 2nd/17th/18th July 2017. No tours run from 19th June -21st July inclusive. During the tournament 3rd – 16th July 2017 the museum is open only to tournament ticket holders.
